    Bottle Love

Digitizing bottle traceability and empowering thousands of women and youth reclaimers while creating income and circular economy opportunities in South Africa.

Bottle Love turns glass waste into income opportunities through comprehensive digital traceability, buy-back centers, and empowerment programs for women and youth. We partner with micro-collectors in rural and peri-urban communities to create an efficient and inclusive bottle collection system. By working directly with local collectors, we enable swift and reliable collection through a trading model that incentivizes the recovery of used bottles. In addition to providing market access, we educate and train collectors on proper bottle handling, sorting, and basic quality standards. This ensures that collected bottles meet reuse and recycling requirements while improving safety, consistency, and value for collectors. Through this model, Bottle Love supports income generation at the community level while strengthening the circular economy and reducing environmental waste.

    Empowering Africa's Waste Reclaimers

Integrating informal waste reclaimers — especially women and youth — into formalized, dignified waste economies.

We integrate informal waste reclaimers — especially women and youth — into formalized, dignified waste economies through comprehensive community enterprise programs. Our community enterprise programs provide training, equipment, and market access to thousands of waste reclaimers across South Africa. We believe that the people on the frontline of waste management deserve fair compensation and dignified working conditions. Through Buy-Back Centres and cooperative models, we ensure that the people on the frontline of waste management earn fair income while driving environmental impact. This approach creates sustainable livelihoods while building a more inclusive circular economy that benefits entire communities.
